I love coming to Marie's for brunch. They have the best eggs Benedict. If you are there for lunch, the chicken soup with a curried tuna salad sandwich hits the spot. Marie's features art by local artists. Every couple of months a new artist is presented. A great place to meet friends for coffee too.
Marie's Cafe is the epitome of a great small business! Brian Hilberg, the owner and chef, of his heart and soul into his work, and the food is consistently excellent. This is well worth your time and effort to visit.
The service was very good, but the food was okay. You can get 2 eggs, toast, a meat, and home fries for nearly 1.50 less if you walk a block more. The bread was the best part of this deal. The rye tasted freshly baked versus other establishments around the neighborhood. But Marie's homefries tasted packaged and I love a good plate of fresh homefries.
Food relatively plain, place pretty messy, service somewhat OK, probably won't go back to it even tho it came highly recommended to me. I did like what looks like regular crowd. Fairly busy place. Easy park. Love the town .
